CVE-2026-81881Hinoki check available

Process termination via Swift metadata buffer under-read

Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in radare2 before 6.2.0 allows attackers to terminate the process by supplying a crafted Mach-O file. The Mach-O Swift field-metadata parser subtracts a relative field pointer below the section base, then uses the negative logical index to read four bytes before its allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user or automated workflow to inspect the file; demonstrated effects are incorrect metadata processing or process termination, not observable memory disclosure.
