CVE-2026-81855Network attack vector

Privileged-client impersonation via hard-coded authentication key

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Use of a hard-coded cryptographic key in Wärtsilä FOS-Onboard 5.07.0923.01 allows remote attackers to impersonate a privileged client. The robot testing framework embeds the client-authentication key in the affected build, so possession of the shared secret is not tied to an authorized client. Network access to a deployment outside the vendor-recommended configuration is required; the disclosed impact is credential theft and privileged-client impersonation.
