Arbitrary file write via traversing ZIP entries
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Path traversal in Amazon Web Services Diagram-as-code 0.10 through 0.23 allows attackers to write local files via crafted ZIP entries. The ZipFile resource extraction path accepts traversal sequences in archive entry names and writes the resolved entries without confining them to the cache directory. Exploitation requires awsdac to process an untrusted definition; a chosen write can lead to code execution with the executing account's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
