CVE-2026-81833Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Agent output manipulation via indexed comment injection

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Code injection in Roo Code 3.51.0 through 3.51.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter agent output through indexed comments. The optimizeQuery function in src/utils/helpers.ts places attacker-controlled source comments into CodeIndexManager retrieval context without separating data from agent instructions. Exploitation requires a user to index attacker-modified source, after which the injected text can steer generated agent actions within that user's session.
