Victim-session script execution via unescaped workspace descriptions
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Stored XSS in Frappe Framework 15.11.0 through 16.32.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in other desk users' sessions. Workspace Link marks its description to bypass XSS filtering, and LinksWidget inserts the unchanged value into an HTML-enabled popover without escaping. Workspace Manager access, a public workspace, and a victim hovering over its description are required; execution can expose session tokens and issue authenticated requests as the victim.
