Authenticated document deletion via read-only authorization
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Dolibarr ERP & CRM before 23.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to delete stored documents through the REST API. Documents::delete() passes 'read' rather than 'write' to dol_check_secure_access_document(), so read permission satisfies a check guarding a destructive operation. Any API user with read-only rights to a document-bearing module can permanently remove its files, including generated PDFs, without create, write, delete, or administrator rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
