Terminal injection in jahlives OpenSSL Encrypt before 1.4.9 allows attackers to forge terminal output through a crafted encrypted file. The print_file_info routine emits decoded metadata fields directly, and permissive schema handling lets C0, C1, DEL, bidirectional, and cursor-control characters reach the terminal without display sanitization. Exploitation requires a user to run the info command on the crafted file; the escape sequences can repaint output and falsify the displayed verification line.
