CVE-2026-81682Hinoki check available

Local plaintext disclosure via world-readable GUI output

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Incorrect file permissions in jahlives OpenSSL Encrypt before 1.4.9 allow local users to read plaintext produced by the desktop GUI. The GUI routes decrypted output through file_manager writeFileText or writeFileBytes, which let Dart create files using the process umask and typically mode 0644 instead of owner-only mode 0600. Exposure requires a multi-user system and a GUI-created decrypted file; the reported consequence is local plaintext disclosure, not modification or service interruption.
