Telemetry disclosure via omitted authentication decorator
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Missing authentication in OpenFaaS Gateway 0.27.11 through 0.27.13 allows remote attackers to read provider telemetry over HTTP. gateway/main.go registers GET /system/telemetry but omits TelemetryHandler from the basic-authentication decorator applied to other administrative routes, forwarding unauthenticated requests to the provider. Any client able to reach the gateway port can obtain resource and invocation metrics from faasd or pod and cluster state from faas-netes, without reported write access or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
