WebAdmin takeover via unrestricted remote configuration commands
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Improper access control in WIBU-SYSTEMS AG CodeMeter Runtime before 8.41a or 9.10 allows remote attackers to take over WebAdmin. The configuration command handler fails to verify network origin before executing commands reserved for local or same-network clients, exposing configuration reads and selected Server.ini writes. Server mode is required; unauthenticated remote peers can obtain the WebAdmin credential hash, overwrite selected settings, and assume WebAdmin control.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
