Authenticated command execution via unneutralized OS command input
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
OS command injection in IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The affected code incorporates attacker-controlled special elements into an operating-system command without neutralizing them, but IBM does not identify the endpoint, parameter, or code path. Exploitation requires an authenticated network session and runs commands in the DataStage service context, enabling data access, modification, or service interruption within that context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
