Cross-tenant ruleset overwrite via path traversal
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Path traversal in IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite other tenants' ruleset files. The ruleset file-handling path accepts a user-controlled path without confining resolution to the authenticated tenant's storage area. Exploitation requires authenticated network access and changes another tenant's ruleset data; no code execution or broader file access is reported.
