CVE-2026-81525Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Database operation retargeting via namespace injection

Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Namespace injection in MongoDB PHP clients allows attackers to redirect database operations through crafted namespace identifiers. The library and extension fail to reject periods in database names and NUL bytes in namespaces before constructing the target database and collection. Exploitation requires an application to place attacker-controlled text into a namespace identifier, enabling reads or writes against a storage location permitted to the application's MongoDB identity.
