Member data disclosure via forged API key update
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
CSRF in Simple Membership MailChimp Integration before 1.9.8 allows remote attackers to redirect new-member data through a forged settings request. The administrator settings handler accepts attacker-supplied POST values and updates the stored MailChimp API key without verifying a nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit attacker-controlled content; later registrations send names, email addresses, and membership levels to the attacker's MailChimp account.
