Skin deletion or modification via unprotected AJAX actions
Published Sep 2, 2026 · Updated Sep 2, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Crocoblock JetStyleManager before 1.3.9 allows remote attackers to delete or modify custom widget skins. Affected AJAX skin actions accept state-changing requests without CSRF protection, causing WordPress to apply the victim's edit_posts authority to attacker-chosen skin changes. Exploitation requires a logged-in Contributor or higher-privileged user to follow a crafted link or perform an equivalent attacker-induced action.
