Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted image upload
Published Sep 12, 2026 · Updated Sep 12, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in DS Ad Rotator 0.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through the image upload handler. The handler accepts attacker-supplied image uploads without capability checks, nonce verification, or file-type validation and stores them in a web-accessible directory. No authentication is required, and code execution depends on the web server treating an uploaded PHP file as executable.
