Azure DevOps token disclosure via workspace endpoint override
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Information disclosure in GitHub Copilot Chat for Visual Studio Code before 1.136.2 allows remote attackers to steal Azure DevOps access tokens. The ADO Code Search integration accepts a workspace-controlled endpoint override and sends authenticated requests, including the user's token, to that endpoint. Exploitation requires a user signed in to Azure DevOps to open a malicious repository and trigger Code Search, after which the attacker can access resources authorized to that token.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
