Wireless credential disclosure via cleartext filesystem storage
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Cleartext credential storage in CareCam CM2507 Firmware 251211.1507 allows attackers with filesystem access to read wireless credentials. The firmware writes the configured network identifier and pre-shared key to the device filesystem without encryption. Physical access, a debugging interface, or another vulnerability must first provide filesystem access; exposure is limited to the stored wireless network identifier and pre-shared key.
