Authenticated NSSF crash via oversized snssais array
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
Denial of service in Open5GS NSSF 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash NSSF via an HTTP/2 request. The shared SBI parser passes an oversized snssais array to ogs_sbi_discovery_option_add_snssais, whose fatal bounds assertion terminates the process instead of rejecting the request. Low-privileged access to the NSSF service is required; the result is an NSSF crash and connection reset, not data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
