CVE-2026-8122Public exploitNetwork attack vector

NSSF process crash via oversized service-names list

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Denial of service in Open5GS NSSF 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash the NSSF process via an HTTP request. The common SBI query parser accepts service-names on the NSSelection endpoint and calls ogs_sbi_discovery_option_add_service_names, where an assertion aborts after the list exceeds OGS_SBI_MAX_NUM_OF_SERVICE_TYPE. Access to the NSSF HTTP/2 service is required; a single oversized list terminates that network function without affecting confidentiality or integrity.
