Cross-tenant credential disclosure via decryption oracle
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Credential disclosure in IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to recover other tenants' secrets. The pull endpoint decrypts supplied {dsnextenc} or {encval} ciphertext with the shared DSNEXT_SEC_KEY, then re-encrypts it under a caller-selected AES key and IV. Any authenticated user who obtains exposed ciphertext can recover connection passwords, Git access tokens, and IAM API keys across tenants.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
