Authenticated file access via unchecked skill paths
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Path traversal in MiniClaw through 43905b934cf76489ab28e4d17da28ee97970f91f allows remote authenticated users to read server files. executeSkillScript joins untrusted skillName and scriptFile values to SKILLS_DIR without verifying that the resulting path remains inside that directory. Low-privileged access to the MCP tool is required; traversal sequences can read sensitive files or execute a file outside the intended skill directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
