Server-side request forgery via get-html-skeleton
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Apify MCP Server before 0.9.12 allows remote authenticated users to read internal HTTP resources. The get-html-skeleton handler validates only that url is parseable HTTP or HTTPS, then passes it to a web-browser actor without screening the hostname or resolved address. Any MCP caller able to invoke the tool can retrieve loopback, private, link-local, or cloud metadata responses, including exposed instance credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
