Data injection and service interruption via cross-device matching
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Improper frame filtering in Linux AF_IUCV allows attackers to inject data and interrupt socket service through crafted frames. afiucv_hs_rcv() matches four plaintext transport-header names but fails to require that a socket's bound hs_dev equals the frame's ingress device. Reachability requires either a peer on the same HiperSockets segment or CAP_NET_RAW in an unprivileged user and network namespace; consequences include spoofed peers, queue exhaustion, unusable accepted sockets, injected data, and terminated connections.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
