Remote-memory token manipulation via stale buffer reads
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Linux 6.14 allow remote attackers to delete or install SMC-Rv2 remote-memory tokens via crafted LLC messages. smc_llc_rmt_delete_rkey() and smc_llc_save_add_link_rkeys() trust a peer-declared rkey count and read beyond the 44-byte inline message into stale receive-buffer bytes. The path requires an SMC-Rv2 link with a shared receive buffer; it can delete a matching registered token or install up to 255 tokens from stale data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
