Out-of-bounds access via unchecked QoS TID
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in Linux 6.11 rtl8192du transmit handling allows attackers to index kernel aggregation state past its bounds. rtl92du_tx_fill_desc() accepts the four-bit QoS TID returned by ieee80211_get_tid() and uses values up to 15 to index the nine-entry sta_entry->tids[] array without a bounds check. Reachability requires active rtl8192du hardware and an outgoing QoS frame with TID 9 through 15; the disclosed evidence establishes an invalid kernel-memory access but no reliable crash, disclosure, or code-execution outcome.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
