Service hang via recursive AMDGPU reservation locking

Denial of service in Linux kernel 7.1 before 7.1.11 allows attackers to hang AMDGPU coredump processing via a hung GPU job. In amdgpu_devcoredump_format, an instruction-buffer reservation can reacquire the root page-directory dma_resv mutex without a shared ww_acquire_ctx and block forever. The deadlock requires an AMD GPU instruction-buffer object that shares the root reservation; disabling GPU recovery also causes repeated timeout warnings to flood the kernel log.
