CVE-2026-80883

Local job submission via initialization race

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

Race condition in the Tegra DRM gr2d/gr3d drivers in Linux allows local users to submit GPU jobs before initialization completes. The probe paths call host1x_client_register() before filling the address-register maps, exposing each client to userspace too early. Exploitation requires a Tegra system using these drivers and a job submitted in the brief initialization window; the Linux advisory does not state the resulting impact.
