CVE-2026-80863Hinoki check available

Kernel memory corruption via stale RDMA array bound

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in the Linux kernel RDMA/rxe component allows local users to corrupt kernel slab memory during QP modification. rxe_qp_from_attr updates qp->attr.max_dest_rd_atomic before free_rd_atomic_resources frees the old allocation, so the loop uses the new larger bound to write beyond that allocation. The published reproducer reached the ib_uverbs modify-QP path as UID 0, and the advisory demonstrates slab corruption without establishing code execution or privilege escalation.
