CVE-2026-80858Hinoki check available

Undefined behavior via improperly published io-uring queue

Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026

Race condition in Linux allows local users to trigger undefined behavior through concurrent FUSE io-uring queue access. The fuse_uring_create_queue() function publishes ring->queues[qid] with WRITE_ONCE() without ordering prior queue-field initialization, so lockless readers can dereference a partially initialized queue. Reachability requires a local FUSE server to create a queue while another path reads its pointer; published sources establish no more specific security consequence.
