Out-of-bounds write in Rockwell Automation Arena Simulation 17.00.00 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious file. The model.exe (Siman) component inadequately validates file-supplied data before writing it beyond an allocated memory boundary. Execution requires a local user to open the crafted file and runs in the context of the Arena process.
