Kernel fault in the Linux kernel 7.1 Huawei HID driver allows attackers to trigger a kernel splat through a crafted UHID device. drivers/hid/hid-huawei.c passes a HID device labeled BUS_USB to to_usb_interface() without confirming that its parent is actually USB. Triggering requires creation of a deceptive UHID device; the public record confirms an ASAN kernel splat but no stronger consequence.
