Out-of-bounds access via scatterlist double indexing
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Loongson2 MMC driver in Linux 6.17 allows attackers to trigger incorrect scatterlist access during data reordering. The ls2k0500_mmc_reorder_cmd_data() and ls2k2000_mmc_reorder_cmd_data() loops treat the current sg entry as an array base and index it again, selecting wrong or out-of-bounds entries. Reachability requires the Loongson2 MMC host driver and its data-reorder path; Linux has not published whether the access causes disclosure, corruption, or a crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
