Kernel warning via invalid display clock parents
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Improper clock configuration in Linux 7.1 through 7.1.9 allows the Eliza EVK display-controller probe to trigger a kernel warning. The Eliza EVK device tree enables the Display Clock Controller despite disabled display support and leaves disp_cc_mdss_mdp_clk_src referencing DSI PHY parents, so RCG reparenting cannot update its configuration during initialization. The condition is limited to Eliza EVK initialization; the published record reports a stall warning and does not report a crash, data exposure, or attacker-controlled trigger.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
