CVE-2026-80721Hinoki check available

System crash via stale Bluetooth connection reference

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux before 6.18.44 or 7.1.8, depending on branch, allows local users to crash the system via Bluetooth ISO teardown. The iso_conn_del function leaves conn->hcon uncleared until the final iso_conn reference is released, so an ISO socket can dereference a deleted HCI connection during a teardown race. The condition requires Bluetooth ISO socket activity concurrent with connection deletion, with no published data disclosure or modification impact.
