CVE-2026-8072Network attack vector

Remote privilege escalation via weakly hashed SAT credentials

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Weak credential generation in Ingeteam INGECON SUN EMS Board firmware allows remote attackers to gain SAT-level privileges. The local SAT access function generates secret support credentials with a weak hashing algorithm rather than a secure cryptographic scheme. The network attack requires no prior privileges or user interaction; successful use grants high-privilege device access.
