CVE-2026-80709

Out-of-bounds heap read via incorrect domain limit

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Linux s390 zcrypt allows local users to read heap memory via an EP11 administrative CPRB. The EP11 CPRB path checks a user-controlled domain against the wrong upper limit, then indexes beyond the 256-entry perms->adm bitmap. The path is reachable only through custom device nodes when an administrative CPRB is sent to a crypto card.
