Out-of-bounds access via unvalidated firmware spans

Out-of-bounds access in the Linux Softing CAN driver allows attackers to read past firmware data or write outside adapter DPRAM via crafted records. The fw_parse() routine trusts record lengths before reading payloads and checksums, while loader checks permit wraparound or omit staging-span validation before DPRAM copies. Reachability requires Softing CAN hardware and control of firmware supplied during driver loading; published material reports no broader consequence than the out-of-bounds reads and writes.
