Use-after-free in Linux kernel Bluetooth connection setup allows attackers to trigger unspecified impact during asynchronous HCI handling. The hci_connect_acl and hci_connect_le callbacks queue an hci_conn pointer without holding a reference, so the hci_sync task can dereference it after the connection is freed. Reachability requires the connection object to be released while its queued task is still running; the published patch calls the condition theoretical and establishes no practical consequence.
