CVE-2026-8069

SYSTEM code execution via misconfigured named pipe

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Local privilege escalation in Acer PredatorSense 3.00.3136 through 3.00.3196 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. A Windows named pipe accepts custom-protocol requests from any authenticated user because its permissions do not restrict access to privileged callers. A local authenticated account can invoke internal functions to run arbitrary code or delete arbitrary files with SYSTEM privileges.
