Kernel crash via NULL PCI bus dereference
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Linux 6.19 allows attackers to crash the kernel during SEV TIO setup via unspecified vectors. In dsm_create(), pci_dev_id() dereferences pdev->bus without first rejecting a NULL bus after segment_id computation explicitly tolerates that state. Reachability requires SEV TIO setup to receive a PCI device with no bus context; the published record does not identify an attacker-controlled path to that condition.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
