Kernel crash via stale doorbell iterator dereference
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Invalid pointer dereference in the Linux Tsi721 RapidIO driver allows attackers to crash the kernel during doorbell processing. In tsi721_db_dpc(), found is not reset for each doorbell, so a later list miss remains marked found and the expired dbell iterator is dereferenced. Reachability requires the Tsi721 driver, compatible bridge hardware, and doorbell processing on a RapidIO fabric.
