Out-of-bounds read via misordered index check
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in the Linux qede driver allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via malformed completion-queue data. The qede_tpa_cont() and qede_tpa_end() loops read a cqe->len_list element before verifying that the index is below ARRAY_SIZE(), causing an out-of-bounds access when no terminator appears. Exploitation requires the qede receive path and malformed completion data; the upstream disclosure establishes neither a remote trigger nor a specific crash or disclosure consequence.
