Kernel warning via unchecked mtier address ranges

Improper input validation in Linux 6.16 allows local users to trigger a kernel warning by enabling the DAMON mtier sample module. damon_sample_mtier_build_ctx passes a zero-length or reversed node address range to damon_new_region without first checking that start is below end. The path requires a kernel built with the sample module and administrative access to its mode-0600 parameters; uninitialized addresses or automatic detection on a memoryless node satisfies the faulty condition.
