System crash via zero-sized firmware section reload
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Linux kernel 6.10 allows local users to crash systems through Panthor firmware reload or device unplug paths. panthor_fw_load_section_entry() records valid zero-sized firmware sections after skipping BO creation, leaving section->mem NULL. Later reload or unplug iteration dereferences that member; reachability requires the Panthor DRM driver and a zero-sized firmware section.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
