Out-of-bounds access in Linux 6.11 cs40l50-vibra allows local users to disclose kernel memory or crash the system via EVIOCSFF. cs40l50_add accepts zero- or one-word FF_CUSTOM buffers, while a signed bank value bypasses the upper-bound check before indexing dsp.banks. Exploitation requires permission to open an evdev node for an affected CS40L50 haptic device; crafted effects can read adjacent memory, corrupt driver calculations, or trigger a kernel panic.
