CVE-2026-80567

Memory disclosure via ignored F54 worker errors

Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Information disclosure in the synaptics-rmi4 F54 driver allows local users to receive stale or uninitialized memory from affected Linux kernels. The rmi_f54_buffer_queue() function waits for its worker but returns success without checking the worker's timeout or register-read error. Access requires a compatible Synaptics RMI4 F54 device and the local V4L2 userspace path.
