Local kernel corruption via inflated Tegra decrypt length
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in affected Linux kernels allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through a Tegra GCM decrypt request. tegra_gcm_do_one_req() subtracts a zero ctx->authsize from the decrypt length and passes the inflated rctx->cryptlen to scatterwalk_map_and_copy(), which writes up to 16 bytes past rctx->dst_sg. Reachability requires Tegra234 hardware with tegra-se loaded and AF_ALG access without ALG_SET_AEAD_AUTHSIZE; the corruption allows a kernel panic or privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
