Unauthenticated database compromise via deferred SQL injection
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Second-order SQL injection in IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 allows remote attackers to alter queries through stored input. The generateInsertQuery functionality in change-tracker-data.sql processes attacker-supplied SQL after its initial submission without neutralizing it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation permits unauthorized access to or modification of protected data and can disrupt service.
