Stored XSS via unescaped field description
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Stored XSS in Voxel51 FiftyOne before 1.21.0 allows remote attackers to run scripts in the App origin through a field description. The sidebar field-information component passes the stored description to React's dangerouslySetInnerHTML without escaping or sanitization. A user must open the attacker-supplied dataset and hover the field; the script can then read local files and access dataset and operator endpoints as that user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
